Midea error code EC
What it means
Refrigerant leakage or compressor protection alarm.
Possible causes
Significant loss of refrigerant detected by control algorithm Blocked expansion device causing abnormal temperature profile Faulty sensor or wiring simulating a leak condition
Suggested fix
Shut down the system and have a technician perform leak detection and pressure tests to confirm refrigerant integrity, repair any leaks and recharge correctly; verify expansion device and sensor wiring if no leak is found yet EC persists.
Safety first. Isolate the power supply before inspecting any unit. Refrigerant-circuit
and electrical repairs must be carried out by a qualified, registered technician.
