Alliance error code E4

What it means

Compressor or discharge temperature error.

Possible causes

Discharge line overheating from high condensing pressure Poor outdoor airflow Refrigerant charge issues

Suggested fix

Inspect outdoor coil and fan performance, verify pressures and discharge temperature and check charge; resolve airflow or charge problems and then reset the error and monitor compressor behaviour.

Safety first. Isolate the power supply before inspecting any unit. Refrigerant-circuit and electrical repairs must be carried out by a qualified, registered technician.
