Carrier error code E5
What it means
Overcurrent or overload protection.
Possible causes
Compressor drawing excessive current Fan motor overloading Incorrect or unstable supply voltage
Suggested fix
Measure running currents and supply voltage and check for mechanical binding of rotating components; correct electrical issues and replace failing motors or compressor once the fault is clearly identified.
Safety first. Isolate the power supply before inspecting any unit. Refrigerant-circuit
and electrical repairs must be carried out by a qualified, registered technician.
