What it means
Communication error between indoor and outdoor units.
Possible causes
Interconnecting cable open, short or incorrectly terminated Corroded or loose terminals Damaged communication ICs on control boards
Suggested fix
Test cable continuity and confirm correct terminal assignment and connection quality; if wiring and supply are proven good, proceed to board-level diagnostics and replace the faulty PCB.
Safety first. Isolate the power supply before inspecting any unit. Refrigerant-circuit
and electrical repairs must be carried out by a qualified, registered technician.
